Dry Brushing
This is one thing that will forever part of my daily routine. I am super into lymphatic drainage not necessarily for water retention but for the flushing of the toxins out of my system. I occasionally will do a lymphatic massage but don’t believe they are an everyday essential as they are expensive and who has the time to go for a massage daily? I believe dry brushing is the perfect everyday essential to get things flowing. So here’s my routine, I always start with my legs as that’s the biggest section of your body. I will put my foot up on a counter or the couch and start from my feet up to my bum. Note, always upward and towards the heart. I then move to my stomach where I go clockwise around my belly button. I then do my arms and arm pits and going from finger tips to arm pits. I focus a lot on the arm pits and around my boobs in a circular potion motion as you have a lot of lymph nodes in those spots. I then do my neck and that will go from my jaw to my collar bones. I try to do this everyday before a shower or even laying in bed at night. If I have had a long day I think spending a little extra time on yourself helps wash away the day and puts my mind in a better place. Im going to link a few of my favorite dry brushes in my products if you’re interested in which are my favorites.
